Q: Connect mid 2010 21.5" iMac to mid 2011 21.5" iMac in target display mode
Hi
I've looked for an answer for my question and I'm not 100% clear so I seek your help please.
I have a mid 2010 21.5" iMac which I would like to connect to a mid 2011 21.5" iMac (which I'm thinking of buying) for the purpose of having two screens. I know it can be done with these two models but the 2010 iMac has a Mini Displayport and the 2011 has a Thunderbolt connection, so I'm not sure if it can be done. I don't mind which display is the main one.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Actually it can't be done since the mid 2010 21.5" iMac does not have a Thunderbolt port. See the information in Use your iMac as a display with Target Display Mode - Apple Support
