Log and Capture Off Center

Hey All-

I've been logging and capturing VHS tapes and I've set Log & Capture to the appropriate settings for NTSC tapes (29.97 frame rate, 720x480) but I keep getting these thin black borders on the right and left of the video. For some videos it's more drastic, where one side has a bigger black border than the other. I've put the tapes in a few different VCRs connected to my computer with a FireWire but I keep getting the same thing. Does anyone know a way for the video to take up the whole Log and Capture screen without slicing out any picture? Thanks!
