It is absolutely ludicrous that I cannot select several contacts from My Contacts to send mail to. I have to "create a group" from My Contacts, and THEN use that group to mail to? Way too many steps, too much time. What a really stupid idea. more

Why do you think you need to create a group? Just put multiple recipients in the To field.

Dec 17, 2015 1:43 PM in response to BobTheFishermanby abckev,My intention is to SELECT individual contacts from My Contacts. You know - open the nonexistent Contacts on my useless toolbar - and choose.
Not think of a list, then begin typing their name, all the while watching to see if the autocomplete chooses them - based on my typing accuracy - and
then further still, scroll down and select, (still yet another step), and go back to begin typing again. A complete waste of time. How about JUST PUT THE CONTACTS ON THE TOOLBAR. Is that so difficult for the brain trust at Apple?

You can just, you know, open Contacts, select some, then drag those to the recipien field.

Dec 17, 2015 7:04 PM in response to BobTheFishermanby abckev,That's just the point. I know I can "just" do that. Only can't be done simply, as I need to open My Contacts as a separate window.
Sure wish My Contacts was accessible from the Mail Program. You know, simple, as in Microsoft. But thank you for your reply.
Your workaround is appreciated.

Jan 14, 2016 7:10 AM in response to abckevby Bobdc6,I have the same problem with this annoying issue. I sent my thoughts directly to Apple. My solution for the present is to use my old MacBook with Mail 5.7 when I want to use and send emails. Much quicker and less annoying.
