Q: Macbook Pro stopped recognizing Samsung camera

Have a Samsung WB800F. I've been connecting the camera to the computer and downloading photos, for about 2 years. All of a sudden, the computer does not recognize the camera via USB. Checked all the connections, checked another camera (I have a duplicate.) I'm still on Yosemite 10.10.5. I was able to download the photos via the card reader, but I have a pole mount on the camera which I have to take apart to access the card, would rather use the USB connection. If anyone has any ideas about why it stopped connecting I would appreciate it. Thanks.
