In logic pro X when I drag a loop from the library into the arrange area only a couple of notes are copied across

Hi I have been using Logic X for about 6 months and suddenly had a problem using the library of loops (by which I mean the library of beats, samples, etc which can be dragged into the track arrange area from the library as audio files [blue symbol] or midi files [if that's the right terminology...? - with a green symbol] - when I drag a midi (green symbol) loop into the track arrange area I find that only the first one or two notes of the loop are copied across, regardless of whether the file is an 8 beat or 16 beats or whatever - far too little to work with in any case. This is hugely annoying as I invariably use loops to start with and then edit them - it's an absolutely critical function for me. I probably should be programming these myself but hey I'm not there yet - focusing on other stuff. Any suggestions? This was a problem before the latest OSX upgrade (El Capitan I think it's called) and it has persisted afterwards, too.

In Logic try "Download Additional Content" which is in the Logic Pro pull down menu. I have read that to be an issue others were having and that to be a solution in regard to any of the content that came with your Logic Install. I am still on Yosemitie myself with reservations of migrating to El Capitan just yet.

Since you are just getting started, there are a TON of free MIDI files, audio samples and loops, and plug-ins out there.

Here are a few things you might find useful.

Also, check each site as they all have free content you can download as well.

This is a Known Bug in the current version of Logic. (known = Apple knows about it) Hopefully corrected in the next incremental release.
