I am continually getting the message AOL Password Required. I enter the correct password and get the message Unable to verify account or password!

It literally pops up non stop and I have no idea how to fix it. I have entered the correct password each time and it will not stop and will not download my mail! I am using OS X El Capitan 10.11.2
