Q: FCP 7 how to view multiple takes at once

I am running FCP 7 on a Macbook Pro with OS 10.10. Trying to figure out how to view multiple takes of video on my timeline running at the same time. Editing a live music performance of four cameras shot simultaneously and would like to choose between shots while seeing all four takes. Is this possible?

Final Cut Pro 7, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

I was able to use the setup you mentioned to make a multiclip view of my angles, but I can't figure out how to edit these clips as I'm going. Is there a function that allows you to make selections of specific angles in real time?

And if I'm not able to switch between clips and create a master edit in real time with multiple angles, can I do this in FCX? Does anyone have an opinion about this in regards to what has an easier learning curve between FCX and Premier?

This video is extremely useful and awesome, and got me started. I followed all the directions to a tee, however something always goes wrong. Either my video doesn't play in real time in the canvas, or the edits don't function. This process seems to be super sticky and buggy. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but maybe someone can enlighten me.
