Q: Images not showing in moments, collections or years

MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz

Mac OS 10.10.5

Photos 1.0.1

Images import from Apple Mail to All Photos album but do not display in Moments, Collections or Years. When I right click (control click) on image in All Photos album and select Show in Moment nothing happens. How do I get imported images into Moments?

In the Photos Library the Masters folder shows the lower level folders by date (ex Jun 16, 2015) and the images are contained within these folders. Since updating to Mac OS 10.10.5 the folders are titled 06, 08, 12 etc. for the months and each month folder contains lower level folders for the day of the month. The images are stored in the day of the month folders. Could the different method of organizing the master images be the source of the problem?

Thanks for the help. Repairing the Library appears to have solved the problem. As advised, I didn't look inside the Library to see what was changed.

That indicates a corrupted database - backup your Photos library and then launch Photos while holding down the option and command keys - repair the database

And I strongly suggest that you stay out of the Photos library - there are no user serviceable parts in it and a simple, small error on your part can corrupt it beyond repair

If you repair your library be aware of the following:

Note: If you use iCloud Photo Library with Photos, repairing the library will cause Photos to upload all your pictures again (from Fix missing or incorrect thumbnails in Photos - Apple Support).

It could be somewhat of an inconvenience having to re upload all of the photos again.
