newly purchased iPhone 6s tries to download apps from my son's account when I back up from my iCloud account. Any suggestions on how I can stop this?

My wife has just upgraded her phone from a 5s to a 6s. The EE shop (in the UK) where she bought it did a back-up from iCloud but a number of the apps are not loading and are requiring either my Apple password or my son's. Whilst a few of these apps may have ben purchased in my or my son's names, most have not. Yet they still refuse to be downloaded and installed. I have tried changing the account on iTunes to that of my wife, but this has made no difference. The only option I can see is to delete all of those apps not downloading and 're-purchase' them on my wife's Apple account. This will be a tedious operation. Hopefully someone out there can suggest an easier alternative.

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID that was used to make the purchase. You either have to sign into the ID that made the purchase and download it that way or repurchase the content again as you already suggested. It is not advisable to sign into another Apple ID in order to download a past purchase like this because you will lock your wife out of her own ID for 90 days.

I've looked at the Apple Support link and have checked the devices linked to my wife's Apple ID. Her account showed 4 devices; 3 are of her phones and one of her iPad. Two of the phones are old ones she no longer has, so I have removed these. One phone is probably the 5s she has just changed from, but I am not sure so I have left that one in place.

None of the devices are noted as being my iMac or 6 or my sons 5s phone. So I am still at a loss to understand why she is always getting a message to enter my or my sons Apple ID (I accept that some of the apps may have been in our names)
