Dec 19, 2015 6:08 AM in response to danshby Russ H,★HelpfulYou're correct that JPEG 2000 MXF is not supported in Compressor. If Uncompressed is your only encoding option for MXF, download the latest Pro Video Formats here.
I believe Adobe Media Encoder may be able to open and output JPEG 2000 MXF. Episode's (Telestream) product site indicates that they have just added JPEG 2000 support. If you don't have either your system, you could test on the trial versions. Bot sure what other alternatives are available. Perhaps someone else here will chime in.
Good luck.

Yes, I downloaded the "Pro" video formats, as MXF is only available through that update.
That said, other than a couple of third-party trial codecs, there was nothing "pro" in that pack, and they seem to only add MXF in order to put a keyword in their marketing description, as uncompressed MXF is utterly useless. I was really hoping there was something I just didn't see.
Since free Apple apps such as preview CAN read jp2 images, I find it very odd that Compressor cannot even open a jp2 image sequence and wrap it in an MXF as intended.
I checked out Adobe Media Encoder - it DOES have true MXF support, including jp2, which is what it's mostly used with.
Thanks again for the pointers -
