Q: 2003f when trying internet recovery

hi,

I just deleted my macbook air disk (maschintosh hd) and after that, I restarted my computer. I don't get anymore the recovery HD menu; when I turn on the laptop with cmd+R, it drives me directly to internet recovery. I get the option of choosing my wifi conection, i connect it and after few minutes I get this advice:

apple.com/support

-2003f

I don't know what should I do. My macbook had El Capitan. Is a macbook air from 2014. It didn't had any issues I just erased the disk because it was full. I have a time machine back up in a external hard drive, I tried to conect it and turn on the mac with cmd+r but nothing happened and just send me directly to internet recovery agaim.

thanks.

    Hey Pamx,

It sounds like you are trying to boot your MacBook Air into Recovery, it is going to Internet Recovery and then you get an error message. You want to try to restore from your Time Machine backup. Is that correct?

When booting a Mac to Internet Recovery, the computer needs access to certain ports in order to completely load Recovery. This article describes the issue and how to correct it - OS X: Ports and hosts used by OS X Recovery.

Once you have booted to Internet Recovery, you can restore using your Time Machine backup - OS X: About OS X Recovery.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Happy computing.
