Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you have concerns with power consumption on your MacBook after updating. I would need more information regarding your system specifications and usage patterns to provide a better answer. However, here are some steps and guides that provide information on how to maximize battery life.

Thank you for the follow-up and screenshots. Without knowing your usage patterns or what processes you were using on your mac during that time frame, it is possible. Were you able to go through all of the recommended information that I provided? Have you noticed any improvement after the reset? Let's check the health of your battery by going through the information in the article below.

Dec 21, 2015 3:55 PM in response to AldoMiraby pinkstones,You can't revert back to Yosemite unless you have a Time Machine backup from when you were last running that OS. Otherwise, your only other option is to completely wipe the hard drive, restoring it to factory settings, and then upgrading your OS from whatever was installed on your computer when you bought it. As it is, I don't think El Capitan is the reason for your battery's poor performance. In one of your prior screenshots, you could plainly see that Firefox was using a significant amount of energy. That includes battery life. Perhaps you should use Safari for a while, just to see if the browser native to the OS you're running is a better bet.

Dec 21, 2015 4:09 PM in response to AldoMiraby pinkstones,I don't know. If there's a problem with the battery, which is entirely possible, it won't really matter what operating system you're using. I was merely suggesting that perhaps using a less energy-intensive browser might be a simple and easy fix.
Also, manually backing up your files is not the same as a full backup of your system. You should be using Time Machine to backup your system. External hard drives are relatively inexpensive.

I apologize for including the wrong link, but thanks for including the system information screenshot anyway. Your battery health looks fine and you have a low cycle count. I believe the best option would be to reach out to us via phone for further troubleshooting.
