sent email is displaying in bold letters

I sent an email two days ago and it is showing up in my "Sent" folder in bold lettering. Does that mean it has not been sent? It's not showing up in the "Draft" folder. Since I have not heard back from the recipient, I'm wondering if it was sent at all. I have never seen this happen in all the years I've been using Apple and Mail. I am not tech savvy.

Thanks, A Brody. Let me try to repeat this back to check for understanding: It's possible that either my email or IP address with my internet account provider has been blacklisted. If that is the case, I should contact Trend Micro or another RBL company to let them know I am not a spammer. Questions: 1) What does RBL stand for? 2) Would the recipient of my email know anything about this? 3) I use a gmail address, so is Google my account provider or is it Charter Spectrum? Either way, it seems unlikely to me that either Google or Charter Spectrum would be blacklisted.

1) RBL = realtime blackhole list.

2) Not necessarily. They may be on an internet provider that blocks spam for them.

3) It is the reply-to address & the IP address of Charter Spectrum that are both subject to blackholing.

4) Also your recipient may be blocking gmail addresses under the assumption they are spam. They should check their spam folder to ensure your e-mail has arrived.

Bold usually means simply it has not been read by you.

It would not be in the Sent folder if it did not properly send. But be aware of any postmaster e-mails you may have received. They would indicate that while your email may have sent, you either have the wrong e-mail address, or you have found yourself on an email blacklist. You may find such e-mails in your Junk folder or Trash folder if you haven't completely deleted them. RBL emails indicate your e-mail or IP address of your internet provider for your account has been blacklisted. Those are a real pain to get off. You can get blacklisted even though you never actually send spam, because someone who sends you mass e-mailing is sending to a recipient's email account that has been hacked. And that email account ends up spoofing you as a spammer. You then need to let Trend Micro or similar RBL company know that you are not a spammer.
