Q: books not out yet

The book I was looking for (Justice League #46) was supposed to be available on the 16th and still isn't out in the ibooks store. This wouldn't be as much of problem except that it is out everywhere else (Comixology, Amazon, DC Comics.com). I contacted apple support about it and they just said it isn't available and I'm kind of wondering why and they haven't responded. Any ideas why?

    Try asking the publisher, Apple is just a store and it's up to the publisher to make sure its books are available.  I don't think anybody in these forums could possibly know why some book is not yet in the store or when that might change.  I recommend you buy it somewhere else.

    Thanks for posting this, Allen, as I was thinking the same thing. This happened once before and the comic eventually showed up a week after the publish date so I just figured there was some mixup on the iBooks side (maybe they had it, just forgot to publish on the right day). However, JL 46 is still missing as of one week later and if you set iBooks to show you all the books in the series, it shows all past issues PLUS number 47 to preorder, but no 46.

     

    Comixolotgy and Amazon are one and the same now, so it appears that this particular issue is ONLY available digitally from Amazon. Unfortunate. ;(

     

    I guess I could potentially go back to using the DC Comics app (based on Comixology, but allows in app purchases) but I kinda liked having everything in iBooks. I'll send a support query to Apple as well to see if this is a "thing that will happen from now on" or a fluke.
