Q: FCPX will crash when one specific project is selected and or opened

Hello, I am using FCPX 10.2.2. I made a short 2 Minute Video and an instagram promo for it as well. However, whenever I try to  select and or open the main, 2 min Video, project file FCPX crashes, but it does not crash if I were to open the instagram project. If anyone can help me, please let me know what to do.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), FCPX 10.2.2

Possibly a corrupted clip that is used in one but not the other project.

When you next launch FCP, delete the app's preferences by holding down the option and command keys.  That will open a new, empty library. In Preferences, turn off Background Rendering. From the File Menu navigate to your working library. Select the library in the Library List and from the File menu, Delete Generated Library Files>All Render Files. Try to open your project.

If it crashes, I would go to Final Cut Backups (by default located in your Movies folder) and open the latest library backup prior to when it began to crash the app.

I would also delete all generated files (not including transcoded or optimized media). Click on your project, then file, then "delete generated project files." Delete only the render files unless you want to re-encode everything. You can also do this with events or entire libraries.
