I use my phone for business and I cannot get a new one until next week. BUT I need to view messages. how do I do that? With all of this technology with Apple I know there is a way to do so.

There are programs out there that can mirror what your iPhone screen shows. For example, Quicktime that natively comes with Macs will show what your phone screen shows with pretty much no setup.
If it's something urgent, try searching for those.
Until your screen/iPhone is replaced, there's no way to do that on that phone.
Do you have an iPod touch, iPad or a Mac?

Thanks, Tim. I'd forgotten about that trick. But, if the screen on the iPhone is broken, would this be useful to the OP? If the computer wasn't already trusted, would it work at all? I suppose it would depend exactly on what "broken" means in this case?
If the computer's not trusted, it's useless. If it is, it might help, depending on what, exactly, is broken. If the touch screen still works, but the display is borked, it might allow them to navigate and view things.
Try your simcard in another phone you may need a small adapter to fit
