Magic Trackpad 2 won't finger scroll

I have a late 2013 MacBook Pro running 10.11 and it has bluetooth 4.4. I have it in clamshell mode hooked to twin 27" Apple Cinema Displays. I have been using a Magic Trackpad for years and love it. Just purchased the Magic Trackpad 2, plugged in the lightning cable, the computer recognized it and told me it was ok to unplug the lighting cable. So I did and it works just fine except - the two finger scroll, or scrolling of any kind does not work.

When I went to System Preference to Set up Trackpad, it can't find it. It just looks and looks forever.

Am I right that his trackpad is not compatible with the latest system software and the latest bluetooth software?

I really appreciate your help. Interesting: When I go to "About this Mac" is says my system is "Version 10.11 Beta (15A278b)" When I open the App Store and click on updates it says there are none available. So I went to El Capitan in the App Store I saw "What's new in Version 10.11.2" When I went to download the software (there is no link to update from 10.11 to 10.11.2) I get the message "OS v10.11 is already installed on this computer. Use the Updates page to install the 10.11 update or if you would to download the full OS X installer click Continue."

Not too sure how to get 10.11.2. I guess I need to download the entire system software? And isn't El Capitan out of beta yet?ks

Once again, thanks!
