Q: Bluetooth not working (no sound) after upgrading iOS to9.2

First of all, i do NOT like changes... because this kind of thing happens... I waited 3-4 years but finally gave in and upgraded my iPhone to 6+ from 4s... mainly because i wanted to use ApplePay. I got the new phone just a few days ago and Bluetooth worked fine. When i tried to use my ApplePay, i found out i had to update  my iOS to the latest version in order to use the specific credit card i wanted to use. So i did... and the Blutooth in my car is connected and plays... But there is NO SOUND!! I researched online and it looks like i am NOT alone with this problem. Do i have to wait for a new iOS.. If so, how long do i have to wait?? This really ***** because i use Bluetooth a lot to listen to podcasts!!

    Hello slimjimm,

It sounds like your phone is able to connect to your vehicles bluetooth and the phone indicates that it is playing but you don't hear anything in your car speakers. I would start by quitting the Settings app:

Force an app to close in iOS

    1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
    3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If it persists then unpair the stereo from the phone:

    Unpair a Bluetooth accessory

To unpair a Bluetooth accessory, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find the device you want to unpair, and tap   , then Forget this Device.

When you Forget this Device on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, that accessory is removed from the list of available Bluetooth devices. To add the Bluetooth accessory to your device again, place it back in discovery mode and repeat the steps above to pair it again.

From: Set up and use third-party Bluetooth accessories

I would then restart one more time and pair the devices again. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, let us know how that goes!
