Q: I have 2 ipods two iphones and two ipads all with the same apple account. can i transfer tunes from my apple mac to all 6 devices? I have tried but my old ipod seems not to be recognised as I have not transferred to/ from it for a long time

I have 2 ipods to which I have previously successfully transferred tracks (over a year ago). I have two ipads which I use regularly. I have a 4s phone to which i have more recently downloaded tracks. I want to put new tracks on my ipods but when connected one it is not showing in my devices. If i try the same with my 4s there is no problem and transfer is fine. When i look in "manage devices" the ipads and 4s are there but neither of the ipods. Does this mean the number of devices I can use with my account is limited and more recently used devices replace older ones? Do I have to remove for example the ipads from the managed devices in order to make space for the ipods?

iOS 9.2

No, there is no limit.  I have quite a few (I think about 9 currently), and I can connect them at the same time or separately.  iTunes is set up to manage each device separately, so it does not matter how many you have.  (And for Apple MORE is better!)

Is your computer that runs iTunes a Mac or Windows PC?

When you connect one of the iPods, watch its screen.  What does it say or do?  Does it acknowledge the connection?  Does it only show the battery charging indicator?  Or does it not change at all when connected?
