Q: Unable to update to latest iOS after being in beta program
I was in the iOS Beta Program and now I'm unable to update my iPad to the latest version of iOS available. Currently the iPad Air 2 is on version 9.1 (13B5130b). Whenever I unlock the iPad, I receive a message saying "A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 9 beta.". Settings/General indicates a "1" for Software Update; however, when I select it what it says is "iOS 9.1 Your software is up to date".
I've gone to the website and removed the iPad from the Beta Program and also deleted it from Settings. A newer version of the beta software had already been downloaded to the iPad, but not yet installed before it was removed from the program. As a result of the new version already being download, I went under Settings/General/Storage & iCloud Usage/Manage Storage and deleted it. At this point, I made backups to both iCloud and iTunes on my Mac.
I next booted the iPad in Recovery Mode and started that process while connected to the Mac containing the iTunes backup. It went through about a 15 minute download and then control was returned back to iTunes and I was sitting in the dialogue containing the Update and Restore options, but neither button was active so they couldn't be selected.
How do I get iOS 9.2 installed on my iPad? I'm out of ideas and don't see anything else in the Support Communities that I haven't tried!
Thanks to anyone giving feedback.
