MacBook Pro 13" retina early 2015, iPhone 6 iOS 9.2, air drop and bluetooth connection not working

Hi everyone,

I have a MacBook Pro 13" retina early 2015 with Yosemite on it, iPhone 6 with iOS 9.2

My problem is that I cannot connect the two devices via bluetooth. If I try to connect the MacBook to the iPhone a message says "Network not available. Be sure that the access to the network is on". If I try to connect to the iPhone to the MacBook Pro I have a message on the iPhone which says "Unable to connect. Make sure that the MacBook Pro is on and within the range of connection".

I also cannot use Air Drop because both devices don't see each other.

I switched to Mac because I was fed up with Windows' "amenities" but it seems I found the same here. I thought I would have found less problems. Sincerely.

Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this without moving to El Capitan (it seems that "upgrading" to El Capitan would solve the problem but I don't want to)?

Thanks

S

I use:

others...

"The kiteworks mobile file sharing solution provides secure creation, viewing, and sharing of enterprise content on smartphones and tablets while providing IT and security teams the administrative controls to manage user privileges and access rights necessary to ensure enterprise security and compliance." " Includes choice of private cloud on-premise."

"Transfer files the easy way, just drag & drop the file and we will handle the rest. Like Apple AirDrop, but works and on all major platforms and computers that don't support AirDrop. Apps are available for iOS, OS X, Windows, and Android."

Thank you, noted. But the problem still remains, and with the problem a question remains: why should I use a third party software to solve an Apple bug? I spent a lot of money not to have this kind of problems but I start thinking that they are not worth the expense. Every new feature or new product is presented as the eighth wonder of the world but in this case it doesn't seem they are. I'm wondering if this could have happened with Steve Jobs. We will never know, unfortunately. Thank you anyway and sorry for my outburst.
