Q: Boot Camp 6 update not working after Windows 10 update

I updated to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 Pro. Using a Mid-2015 Macbook Pro 15" Retina.

I followed the steps on Apple's Support page, and everything goes fine until the last step -- Using Apple Software Update to upgrade to Boot Camp 6.

The file downloads OK, but then it hangs during the installation:

Do I have to install it from a USB drive or something? I saw some other threads with similar issues, but I'm not sure if this is the same problem.

I've managed to get back into Windows 10, am creating a recovery disk. Thanks for your help (once again).

There is no BIOS UI. Your Windows 10 should be installed as EFI on the 2015 model. Also, try the shift or fn+shift key.

Disable Windows Automatic Updates till we can get a stable Windows running.

I did, thanks.

Also, a did a restore from the restore point I created earlier. Also, I had changed a couple things in the Boot Advanced Options that might have been creating problems, so I changed them back to the default. It seems to be working OK now, but I'll report back.
