No outbound sound on Face Time

I can't track this to en exact date but I recently purchased a 2015 MBP (11,5). I "think" this started happening after the OS X 10.11.2 update..


What happens is that I don't believe the microphone is working during Facetime as the person on the other end of the connection cannot hear me. All video and incoming audio is fine. I also obviously cannot receive FT Audio calls.


All other applications appear to have functioning sound and the microphone is showing levels in the prefere


I've tried restarting, resetting nvram (-c) and the usual suspects within the sound panel on System Preferences...


I've also been looking around online and not seeing anyone else with this problem, so I'm wondering if this may be a, "My Bad.." kind of event, but I don't know what I could have missed.


Any ideas are much appreciated.
