How to set Keyboard App Shortcuts for submenu items?

Hi--

I'm trying to set some Keyboard Shortcuts for Pro Tools. I'm facing a problem, though. I want to set a shortcut for the menu item

View -> Edit Window Views -> Inserts A-E

so in the Keyboard Preference Pane, i created an App Shortcut to "Inserts A-E". The problem is that there are other submenu items in Pro Tools with the same name, e.g.

View -> Mix Window Views -> Inserts A-E

Track -> Bypass Inserts -> Inserts A-E

and it's this last one that ends up being triggered by the shortcut. The shortcut actually shows up in all three places when browsing through the menus; but it only triggers the "bypass" item.

In the Keyboard Preferences pane, is there any way to specify which menu a submenu item resides in?

I'm on El Capitan 10.11.2, Pro Tools 11.3.1.

thanks in advance

Actually I just found this old post:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2572960?answerId=12798396022#12798396022

which had my answer. If I enter

View->Edit Window Views->Sends A-E

for the menu item, it correctly assigns my shortcut. It's important that there be no spaces around the "->".

FYI and for the information of anyone else reading this post.
