Q: Windows 8.1 driver error at install

Dec 21, 2015 5:08 AMby Loner T,1. If you are getting an error message about CD/DVD drivers in Windows Installer, it is an ISO corruption issue. Where did the ISO come from?
2. Your 2012 MBP is capable of installing Windows from a DVD and a USB Installer, both. If the ISO was created using Create an ISO image for Boot Camp from Windows installation media - Apple Support , is it a mixed 32-bit/64-bit ISO.
3. The W7/W8+ drivers are available at Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support . For your specific year/model, check the System Requirements on the page to ensure it supports your specific model.
4. Can you post an exact error message or a screen shot?

Dec 21, 2015 9:07 AMby adjp15,1 i got the ISO from microsoft dreamspark (I'm a student) its a windows 8.1 embedded ISO (product key embedded in the iso)
2 it is 64 bit, dreamspark does not offer a 32 bit version of windows 8.1.

4. i cant out a screenshot of the error because it happens DURING the install process for windows itself.

Dec 21, 2015 9:32 AMby Loner T,As a test, download the ISO from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/home over a wired connection, and post the MD5 of the ISO. If it matches, run BCA and see if you can install Windows.
This is what I have

Dec 21, 2015 1:13 PMby adjp15,problem with that is if it worked i don't have a product key and I'm not going to dish out the money for something I'm supposed to be able to get for free from my school. 2. I'm not going to instal yet another windows iso that is going to take up even more space on my drive.
