Attachments over 100mb - WiFi

I am trying to send a video that is 150mb via my Email account on my iphone but it keeps saying....

"Attachment is over 100mb"

"You must connect to a Wi-Fi network to send this attachment"

I am already connected to wifi even whatsmyip shows as my home broadband IP when using Safari on my phone.

Is this a bug with IOS 9.2?

I have even reset and restored the phone and this error still pops up

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.2

I had same issue. What I found is, that when you go to your photos and want to share video clip for example view a email this warning comes up, but if you go to write an email and insert same video clip there is no warning. It looks like the lager files must be compressed to be emailed so doing it this way works for me every time.

Give it a go.

Hi, drew1982:

"You are not alone." Indeed, the same occurs on my wife's (1st retina) iPad, running iOS 9.2. Even when switching it to "airplane mode" with WiFi on (although the iPad does not have telephone connection) and Bluetooth off (again, just to eliminate anything and everything that could confuse iOS), and even after turning WiFi off, and then back on... Mail.app refuses to recognize that it is on WiFi and to send the e-mail. Also, my wife does have ample room on her iDisk for the movie to be uploaded and a live link to be embedded in the e-mail for the recipient to download (as I thought attaching too large files ought to function in iOS 9.x).
