No app sound without earphones.

So, I just bought my new iPod yesterday. Everything worked great for a while, until I plugged in the earphones that came with it. It kinda seemed like it didnt fit right. When I was listening to music, it would only come out of one ear, unless I turned the plug in the phone the right way. Anyway, now the sound wont come out of the normal speaker. Some apps, like YouTube and Pandora, along with notifications, work fine. But other apps, like Geometry Dash, a sound based game, dont work unless I plug earphones in again. I have tried restarting multiple times, blew half my can of compressed air into it the headphone port and charger port, and tried looking in the settings for anything that might be stopping the sound. I only want to reset my iPod as a last-ditch effort.

- Try another pair of headphones or verify your headphones work OK I another device. Maybe you have a defective pair of headphnes

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

Fix for iphone Earphone Bug

Try the following to rule out a software problem

- Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R".

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
