Apple Watch is not pushing activity data to the iPhone

Hi all,

today, my Apple Watch stopped transferring fitness data to the activity app on my iPhone 6s. All firmware is up-to-date, both on the watch and the phone. Restarting both devices did not help either. I'm trying to avoid un- and repairing the watch, which is time-consuming when you want to preserve your fitness data.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Thaddeus,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see from your post that your Apple Watch is no longer syncing your fitness data with your iPhone, even though you see the data on the Apple Watch itself. To get started I suggest that you force the Health app to quit on your iPhone and then restart it.

Force an app to close in iOS

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If that doesn't work, then you may have to unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone. When you do this however, your fitness and health data is backed up. Take a look below for this process.

Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone

Take care.
