All in one Printer compatible with El Capitan
I need to purchase a good all-in-one printer "other than HP" for home use, and it should be compatible with El Capitan on my iMac and Mac Book Pro.
iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

To be honest there are too many to list. I would recommend visiting your local office supply store and looking at their selection, you can also look at computer stores, Best Buy etc..
However before doing any shopping think of what your needs are. Think of what types of things you print and how much printing you will be doing, also think if you need to print from an iPad or other IOS device. Because there are so many printers to choose from, without doing a little due diligence before shopping you will only confuse yourself if you don't know what your needs are.
Any particular reason why not an HP? Not that I really care , but I am curious why you said "other than HP."
Thank you all for your responses. One of the worst printers I have ever had was HP 4500. It would start printing then stop. Once it took one-half hour to print one page. I tried numerous ways to reboot and reset to no avail.
I agree with rkaufmann87 and would add....
Narrow it down by your needs to either a laser printer or an ink jet. Then the most important thing to consider is the cost per page to operate. Pretty much all manufacturers give their cost per page to operate stats. I would also make sure it can do WiFi printing from ALL of your devices like iPhone, iPad, iMac, etc. One more thing, avoid the fluff. Your major goal is to print a page of text or an image and scan, thats it.... all the other stuff the manufacturer throws in is superfluous and is just a headache to keep running. One more thing, unless you absolutely need fax capability don't get it. I used to think I needed it and my fax quit working two years ago. If anyone asks me to fax something I tell them I don't have a fax but will e-mail it. I have yet to find someone who would not accept a scanned image in an e-mail instead.
