"ARD" (Apple Remote Desktop) HELP

If you're using apple remote desktop, will you have to enter the username and password for the computer you're trying to connect to? And can you connect to windows computers?







I'm getting a mac soon and i wanted to know this answer.

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6, getting mac soon

You'll very likely be using Screen Sharing and not Apple Remote Desktop. Apple Remote Desktop costs ~US$80 in the App Store. The Screen Sharing client and server are both part of OS X.


Apple Remote Desktop works with OS X devices. As does Screen Sharing.


Screen Sharing does require you to authenticate into the target system.


If you want to access screen sharing on Microsoft Windows systems, acquire a copy of CoRD or other similar package.
