Anyone using an iPad pro as a tv?

Is anyone using an iPad pro instead of a tv? I'm not sure I want to buy a tv that will be rarely used and static.

Any advice/experiences?

I was also planning on getting the iPad Pro to use as a portable TV as well as a replacement for my 3rd gen iPad. I wouldn't just be using it just as a TV but I would a lot of the times. Netflix, Hulu and I can even access my Tivo plus alot of major networks have there own apps you can download ( ABC,NBC,TBS etc...) Yes flat screen TV's are cheaper but they are not as portable as the iPad I wouldn't buy the iPad pro just as a TV but I do plan on using it as a portable TV

Why would you want to spend, at least, $800 for a small screen device to watch TV, videos and movies on?

Is this the only thing you want to use an iPad Pro for?

Are you planning to use an iPad Pro for anything else?

You can get a pretty nice and fairly large flat screen TV for the same money as you would pay for an iPad Pro. Plus, you would still need to pay for some way to get onto the Internet and some video streaming service to monthly subscribe to to watch any current TV content on an iDevice.

Why would you even consider this?

Are you a student? Sublet a room? Rent a small apartment where you aren't there much?

What is the issue with a flat screen TV? Flat screen TVs come in smaller sizes, too, if space is at a premium and these are even cheaper than an iPad Pro.

Kinda a waste of money for the type of things the iPad Pro can do besides be a very expensive portable TV.
