The ssd has the install package with apps but is the only visible drive. its like the hd dissappeared from the system and it was there before the fresh install process going through disk utility and selecting the ssd to erase. Once i
erased the ssd the hd was no longer a visible option in disk utility.

Dec 21, 2015 8:49 PM in response to Bluemoserbikeby shivafeb17,I understand that you have connected 1TB external HDD to the Computer using USB Cable and it is not visible in Disk Utility and Finder Window.
You can try the following steps and check if that works

Dec 22, 2015 5:14 AM in response to Bluemoserbikeby Bluemoserbike,There is both an internal HD and an ssd on the Mac mini I have. The ssd shows up fine but the hard drive does not. Just yesterday prior to the clean install of OSX both worked fine but now the hd is not visible.
