Q: Using iPay

Is there an easy way to display the iPay screen?  I find that the double pressing the side button is a hit-and-miss proposition.  Most of the time, the double-click brings the friends twice instead of the credit card.  Is there a trick?

For comparison purposes, in order to activate Apple Pay via the side button on Apple Watch, the double-click needs to be significantly quicker than the slower speeds at which a double-press on the iPhone's Home button will cause display recently used apps to be displayed.
