Phone stuck at Apple Logo

Last night my phone was lagging and kept freezing so I turned my phone off and back on again but after the Apple logo appeared, the screen just went black. I tried the soft reset and the same thing happened.

I read that you need to do iTunes restore but I kept no backup of my photos, and I don't want to lose them. Any suggestion guys?

Hi Syafiqm,

If you are getting a black screen when you try to start up your iPhone, follow the steps in this article - Get help with the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Specifically -

If you see a solid color screen (black, white, or blue)

  1. Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
  2. Force restart your device while it's plugged in.
  3. If this doesn't work, restore your device.
  4. If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

Note that if you get to step 3 (restoring the iPhone) this process deletes all data currently on the iPhone.
