Q: Itunes update failed for itune 12.3.1 64 bit on windows 8

I can not update my iphone to 9.2 until i can up date itunes 12.3.1, When I try to update itunes I get this message: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you are having an issue with updating to the newest version of iTunes on your Windows computer. Is that correct? I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - If you can't install or update iTunes for Windows.
