Q: Do not disturb does not switch off when using the iPhone schedule function

My apple watch is supposed to mirror my iPhone's "Do Not Disturb" schedule. I turn both devices off at night anyway. The DND turns on/off 100% all of the time on my iPhone but has not switched off once on the watch. I have to manually turn it off which totally negates the point of having the option to use the same schedule of the iPhone.

Both devices are using the latest release OS but I can't find mention of anyone else having this issue online? TOTAL PITA!

My experience of apple support on the last 3 time I have called was a total waste of time so not going to even bother this time..

    Hi

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Do Not Disturb > turn on Mirror iPhone.

Also, you may find it more convenient to charge your watch overnight rather than turn it off.

Under normal operation, the watch cannot be overcharged and the battery won't suffer any harm. Charging will stop automatically when the watch is fully charged (and recommence as / when required due to ongoing battery usage). Follow Apple's safety and handling instructions and also note that:

    - It is not possible to turn the watch off whilst it is on the charger and connected to power - this is normal.

    - It is also normal for your watch, power adapter and charging cable to become warm when connected to power.

watchOS also includes a Nightstand mode, which enables you to use your watch as a beside clock with optional alarm:

    - Connect your watch to its charger (with power connected), then place it on its side with the buttons facing up.

    - To see the time, tap the display or lightly nudge your watch (or perhaps even just your bedside table).

    - If you also set an alarm using the Alarm Clock app on your watch, it will alert you at the specified time.
