Cannot consistently use ISPQ

I have been using the video chat program ISPQ. for years Recently I installed El Capital and since then, I often get an error 132 when trying to log in.

When checking for more details, I'm told the the computer appears to be behind a NAT firewall. and that to allow connections I have to add ISPQ VideoChat on ports 2001 and 2020-2021.

I have no idea how to do this and even, if I should because there are days when I have no problem logging in. It seems to not connect in the early part of the day, but does in the evening.

Is this a Mac/ElCapitan problem or is it an ISPQ problem? If the latter, I cannot get help from them until I can log in..

Any suggestions?

Use the app "iglasses" it will turn your camera on, and you can use ISPQ. Use it on a trial for 7 days free, if you like it buy it for $20

the last update was in 2012. You should contact the developer and see if they are aware of the issue since if it is problem with 10.11 Apple is not going to intentionally fix any problems with 3rd party software.

Thanks ..I wasn't sure if there was something I could do to fix it...i.e. am I really behind a firewall?

I would love to send the developers a query but can't do that until I get on line again..whenever that will be.

What hardware are you using? I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro with "Retina," and although I can connect to ISPQ just fine it cannot see my video. I thought perhaps it was an El Capitan problem, so I'm wondering if you can send video successfully, but I guess if you're having trouble logging on, you probably can't tell.

FWIW, from the link I just posted there was an app in the App Store called iGlasses which was supposed to fix ISPQ video issues.

Glad to hear it. As you might have seen on the other thread, I found that a cheapo USB camera works just fine with ISPQ; it's only the built-in camera on the new MacBook pro that it doesn't recognize, and somehow iGlasses can get around that. So it must be something moderately simple, but I sure wonder what it is!
