Hi, ever since I upgraded my iMac to El Capitan, Safari browser shows a weird font on various internet pages. For example; my Facebook username below. This also happens on various other webpages and sometimes even PDF files. However; when I open the same pages and files on my Mac Air it all looks fine. I can't figure out how to fix this problem.

Try using
Applications > Font Book
to 'Restore Standard Fonts...'.

Have you put any free or cheap fonts on there? Or perhaps put some sort of cyrillic font on your Mac?
It looks like that one font is substituting for a normal web font.
I would open up Font Book, and look at the samples of fonts until I see that one.
Then delete it.
It looks like you have install a junk cyrillic font on your machine, which maps Latin letters to cyrillic. You need to get rid of it. It should be pretty easy to find using the Character Viewer. Select a latin letter in your name and look in the Font Variation panel to see what font has garbage the right character.

I solved this way: I noticed that I have some strange version of Helvetica Font installed. They overcome the font used by Facebook.
In Font book application (or also directly to your font folder) you ca see some strange fonts. Delete them and your Facebook will be ok.
