I had a same problem last week. password was able to use but after entering all of the key was malfunctioned

So, I went to Apple Store's a/s department,

After the diagnosis by repairman, he found out that the some sort of system conflicting, so had to reinstall all o/s and it work properly,

Usually when you book for a/s appointmen throughout the Apple web, then it will guide to you to some authorized a/s center, but according to the my personal experience, best and quickest way is that go straight to the apple shop's queuing for a/s(even though waiting for 2-4hrs) in the morning

-before bring it to the a/s center

make a backup data

Adobe user-follow the reinstall procedure and inform to the repairman,

for my case, after reinstall Pages, Number, Keynote, Garage band apps were gone!

Boot in Safe mode, and see if that works. Then try a different login — if there's one available — and see if that works. Chances are, there's an add-on, extension, anti-virus or anti-malware tool, a cleaner or optimizer or space-saving tool, or some run-of-the-mill ad-ware installed here. Finding and removing the add-on will probably only be possible from Safe Mode, assuming that works.
