What do you use to clean your stainless steel mesh band? (Not the watch)

I am not looking for instructions on cleaning the watch itself, just the stainless steel mesh band.

Any suggestions?

Hi Julia

Apple's instructions for cleaning your Milanese Loop are:

  • Wipe down the band with a recommended (nonabrasive and lint-free) cloth. If needed, you can lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water.
  • Dry the band with a recommended cloth.

A damp cloth alone did not remove the oil stains from my wrist. So I tried some gentle stainless steel cleaner which I use on my refrigerator and rinsed it off really well, and then used a dab of dish soap to clean any residue off of that, and then rinsed it very thoroughly. It worked and my band looks beautiful again. Next time, I think I'll just use the dish soap and see how that goes. Not sure what the problem with that would be.
