Need 64-bit or later iso file error

Hi all. I'm on El Capitan with a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015). Boot Camp Assistant v 6.0.1. Every time I target the Win 10 iso image, it gives me an error "Need 64-bit Windows 8 or later ISO file." - meanwhile it's a 64-bit iso from MSFT's website. File name is Win10_1511_English_x64.iso - downloaded it twice to make sure it wasn't corrupted. Why is this happening?

Had the same issue with my Windows 7 iso, but from what I understand it isn't possible to boot camp Win 7 anymore (was simply thinking for the free Win 10 upgrade).

1. Please verify the md5 of the Win10 ISO.

openssl md5 Win10_1511_English_x64.iso

MD5(Win10_1511_English_x64.iso)= a0d4271b7537732a060909fd39d54829

2. Run the following two procedures

Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Now try BCA.

openssl md5 Win10_1511_English_x64.iso

MD5(Win10_1511_English_x64.iso)= 28d638025445f5aebb277e2815dbdd78

You have a corrupted ISO. Please try and download from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/home .
