Lipstick mark on outgoing emails

I have been using my Macbook Air for 6 months. When I first got it, I had to change the picture for "me" from the default lipstick-kissy-lips icon to one that I preferred. That solved the kissy-lips problem until today, when all of a sudden, the kissy-lips icon has suddenly re-attached to all of my outgoing emails. I have already double checked in system preferences; It has the right image. I also double checked in the contacts app under "me"; It also has the right image. In addition, I checked in my gmail account; It has the right image too. And yet, the kissy-lips appear on all of my emails. I have tried all of the solutions that are on the forums and it hasn't worked. How else do I remove the lipstick mark?
