Q: Updating won't allow me to open a file...

I was working on a Pages document on my mac and saved it on iCloud.  I opened Pages on my phone and the document is there, but I can not open it.  On the top, next to the Edit function, it says "Updating...".  I can open other documents, but not the recently saved one from my mac.  I tried turning the phone off and on again, nothing.

How can I get rid of that "Updating..." on the top of the phone? 

What else would cause me to not be able to open a file that is clearly there?
