Q: Apple TV 3 connects to wifi but not internet. But my internet works on every other device

My Apple TV Gen 3 says it is connected to the wifi but not the internet. I checked my router and everything is all good. My internet works just fine connected to my lap top and phone. I restarted and reset my Apple TV and still get the same result. I cannot restore it because it wants me to update the software first but cannot because I have no internet connection. If anyone knows what else I can do, I would greatly appreciate it!
