Dec 22, 2015 11:05 PM in response to tonylop33by ChrisJ4203,★HelpfulThe latest version of iTunes is v12.3.2. It could be that your Mac does not have the correct OS X to support the latest version of iTunes. These are the latest Macintosh requirements for the latest version of iTunes.
Mac System Requirements
- Mac computer with an Intel processor
- To play 720p HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor is required
- To play 1080p HD video, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 2GB of RAM is required
- Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater; 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
- Broadband Internet connection to use Apple Music, the iTunes Store, and iTunes Extras
- Apple combo drive or SuperDrive to create audio, MP3, or back-up CDs; some non-Apple CD-RW recorders may also work. Songs from the Apple Music catalog cannot be burned to a CD.
- OS X version 10.8.5 or later, Apple Music requires OS X version 10.9.5 or later
- 400MB of available disk space
- Apple Music, Apple Music Radio, iTunes in the Cloud, and iTunes Match availability may vary by country
- iTunes Extras require OS X version 10.10.3 or later

As ChrisJ4203 told you above, these two statements contradict each other. iTunes 12.3.2 cannot run on OS X 10.7.5.
You need a later version of OS X. If you cannot update your computer's OS X any further, then you need a new computer.
UPDATE: Maybe there is a technical issue here regarding the word update. You probably have the latest version of OS X 10.7, but you need OS X 10.11 which is an upgrade.

Strange because I confirmed I have iTunes is v12.3.2. and it works fine with my old iPhone5s and to play music (etc) on the iMac.
I was trying to avoid upgrading to El Capitan due to the long download and install times some have reported. I guess I will have to.
Thanks.

Dec 22, 2015 11:39 PM in response to sbermanby tonylop33,Thanks sberman! I think I might need reading glasses.
I guess I will need to upgrade to another OS X to be able to use iTunes 12.3.2. Either way my problem seems to be OS X related.
Thanks again.
