Q: Recovery mode being weird.
Hello everyone, I am wanting to sell my Macbook Pro late 2011 and i have booted into recovery mode and have erased the hard drive. now i am trying to install a fresh copy of Yosemite. And the loading bar has finished and says "downloading additional components" and the time shows 36 hour left until it finishes downloading. I really want to sell my mac before christmas. Thanks.
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

You really should NOT install an OS you've been using (Yosemite). You should install the OS that originally came pre-installed. So, if your MBP came with an install DVD, use that and install that OS. If it came with OS X Lion, then restart into Internet Recovery (Command+Option+R) which boots into Apple's Recovery servers and install OS X Lion.
However you install OS X, after installation shutdown the Mac. Don't go through Setup.
