When i tried to link my messages to ford's Sync system it said this phone does not support bluetooth messaging. I wa wondering if the settings on the phone were wrong,
That information helps a great deal. The iPhone Bluetooth profile does support MAP, which is the message access profile. iOS: Supported Bluetooth profiles - Apple Support
The thing is that not all systems support them the same, and I've seen a number of posts where there are issues with Ford Sync. You may want to contact your Ford dealer to see if they support the iPhone 6 o 6s and the latest iOS. It may require an update of your Ford Sync, or they may not have completed an update of their system to support the latest iOS.
