Q: Continually getting notification that AOL password is not accepted. If I go directly to AOL it accepts my password. This just started with upgrade to ElCapitan.
OSX ELCAPITAN 10.11.2 Since this upgrade, I continue to get message that mail needs password. I know this password is good as I can sign on directly to AOL, but the iMac has random trouble getting the mail. Sometimes it takes the password and brings in a block of mail, sometimes not.
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Hi Carol,
If you are having an issue with being unable to get email because it continues to ask for a correct password, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - If Mail on your Mac keeps asking for your password.
