Connecting a Macbook Pro to a Macbook Pro

Can I connect my firewire macbook pro 17" to my new macbook pro 15" thunderbolt? I want to put the 17" into target mode. Any other suggestions. Prayer to Steve Jobs didn't work and Wozniak isn't taking my calls.

Get the Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. The rest is the same as if both had Firewire.
