Dec 25, 2015 7:30 AM in response to Col. Bat Guanoby alex_h1,Hello,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If your iOS devices are not going to sleep when Guided Access is enabled, then it indicates that you have the option to allow sleep during a session disabled. Please go to your Guided Access settings as shown below:
Set up Guided Access
Tap Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access to set up Guided Access. From there, here's what you can do:
- Turn Guided Access on or off
- Set a passcode that controls the use of Guided Access and prevents someone from leaving an active session
- Set whether the device can go to sleep during a session
Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Cheers.

Dec 29, 2015 3:04 PM in response to Col. Bat Guanoby basedrop,I figured it out. In IOS9... Open an app. Tripple click home button to open guided access. Before you "start" a new session (upper right)... tap on the word "options" (lower left.) It's a button! Not a word! Bad interface design.

Dec 29, 2015 9:27 PM in response to basedropby Col. Bat Guano,That menu only lets you turn the sleep/wake button on and off, it has no effect on the auto sleep status which is seemingly disabled by entering guided access.
